Giving Thanks for Prayer
I call on you, O God, for you will answer me; give ear to me and hear my prayer.
(Psalm 17:6)

A woman who had to cope with the early death of her beloved husband; as a single parent she has had to raise her children alone. Her health has been poor for a long time. Every day she has had to struggle to get out of bed and carry on.
And yet she wrote of her thankfulness for instant access to God through prayer. She knows that she can reach God wherever, whenever, and forever. There is no waiting-no busy signal, no answering machine, no voice mail, no “phone tag.”
She is thankful that she can simply close her eyes and open her heart and her mind to the One who created her. When she commits herself to God in prayer, he is there for her. He comforts her. He gives her assurance and courage.
She told me that it is mind-boggling that she can have an on-going, personal relationship with the Creator of the universe and the Ruler of the world.
Most of us think of giving thanks through prayer, but here's a person who reminds us to be thankful FOR prayer. We have instant access to the King. Only a select few have instant access to the head of state. But we have the opportunity to come before God and have His undivided attention anytime. How thankful and encouraged we should be for this privilege!
PRAYER:Father, thank you for hearing us and answering us. Thank you for never being too busy to hear us when we come to you in our anguish. We love you, dear Father. In Jesus’ name,Amen.
為能向神禱告感恩
神啊，我曾求告你，因為你必應允我；求你向我側耳，聽我的言語。」
(詩17:6)
一位朋友寫下感恩的事項是這樣的，她是一名經歷了丈夫英年早逝，要獨力撫養兒女的單親媽媽。有頗長的一段日子，她的身體狀況極壞，每天都需拖著軟弱的軀體作奮力的掙扎。
然而，她卻為著能藉禱告時刻到神面前而感恩不已。她知道她能隨時隨地甚至是永永遠遠地到神面前，完全不需等候→沒有電話佔線的訊號，沒有電話留言，沒有打來打去找不著人的情況。
只要閉上雙眼，敞開心懷，便可以到創造她的神面前→她為此滿心感謝。每當她專心禱告，神便在那裡，安慰她，賜她信心與勇氣。
她說，能與創造天地的神、統管世界的主有這種不變而親密的關係，真是不可思議！
我們都懂得在禱告中向神感謝，但這位女士卻提醒我們，要為能向神禱告而感謝。試想，能隨時到國家元首面前的只有少數人，而我們竟能隨時接觸那至大的君王。我們何等有幸，不但隨時可到神面前，且得到祂的全心關注。我們當為這特權而感恩，並大得鼓舞！
禱告：父啊，感謝您垂聽及回應我們的禱告。感謝您在我們痛楚哀求時，從不因太忙而無暇理會我們。親愛的父，我們甚愛您。奉耶穌的名求，阿們。
